Happiness is around the next corner, Wendy’s Vietnamese

HappinessHappiness is around the next corner, wealth down the street” is what my fortune cookie said at Wendy’s Vietnamese at 5015 Tacoma Mall Boulevard, Tacoma. We met our dear friend at Wendy’s for a tasty dinner and conversation. This is Wendy’s second location, with the first being in Freighthouse Square. Their food is consistently delicious.

Vietnamese Buddhist Meditation Center

Today I went with others from a photo meetup to the Vietnamese Buddhist Meditation Center at 2625 72nd Street East, Tacoma. It was way wonderful to be able to stroll around the grounds, looking at their amazing statues and we were even invited in to the meditation temple (I hope that’s the right word!) I’m finding almost nothing about the center and our kind hosts did not speak English, so I’m a bit in the dark. But still it was great. After wards most of us went to the dahlia farm and snapped some more photos.

Vien Dong in Tacoma’s Lincoln District

Wow! Vien Dong at 3801 Yakima Avenue in Tacoma’s Lincoln District has some tasty Vietnamese food and so reasonably priced. I was delighted (delighted, I tell you!) to meet a dear friend here for the first time. We both had the #11 (pho) with a fresh spring roll. It was the best pho I’d ever had and there was so very much of it that I had enough for lunch today. It says a lot for a restaurant when it is still very busy at 2 in the afternoon. The restaurant itself isn’t fancy, but the food makes it worth the trip.
