Taking advantage of the last day of summer (9/20/10) I stopped at Ferry Park at corner of S 14th & Cushman Avenue. This is a relatively small park surrounded by residences in the Central Neighborhood. The park features playground toys, picnic tables and a large open area. When I stopped by at four in the afternoon on a sunny day, it was empty! Per the City of Tacoma’s website (see below) the land for this park was donated by Clinton P. Ferry May 14, 1883.
