I was sent to Rite Aid at1850 South Mildred Street (James Center),Tacoma, WA 98465 for index cards today. While there I admired there selection of Valentine’s Cards. I then played with the image using http://pixenate.com/ for the heart shape and http://www.befunky.com/ for the tones.

Rite Aid’s website is here http://www.riteaid.com/

Save A Lot is Closing

At least nine Save A Lot Stores in the Puget Sound are closing including the one at 1105 Martin Luther King in Tacoma’s Hilltop. I remember in July 1999 when the building was a recently constructed as a Rite Aid drug Pharmacy. An entire block was demolished to make way for the Rite Aid. In January 2005 the Rite Aid closed and in September 2006 the Save-A-Lot Extreme Value Grocery Store opened.

Larsen Pharmacy had been on the site (or part of the site) as of 1938 and Harold Meyer Drug Store was there as of 1944. Kellogg & Ford Building was there as of 1905. The J. Anton Mueller store was there in 1916.

Rite Aid on Pearl

It was extra hot today and I needed a cool drink. Rite Aid at 1912 Pearl Street was a good choice since I also needed band-aids. The Rite Aid was just like every other Rite Aid, but the cashier was particularly upbeat and delightful. That makes such a difference!
